i have d/l the full version demo and tried running it thru Home Studio 2004XL, using SpinAudio's VST wrapper program..firstly when i open HS, it doesnt appear in the instruments list, and when i try to run it thru the FX box it starts to load and then freezes at the "loading accents window"..i have tried uninstalling and re-installing thru Wrapper Pro, but it keeps coming up to this freeze, and i have to completely shut down Home Studio via ctrl+alt+del...(running Windows XP)... andy help appreciated..

Jamstix cannot be run in the FX bin of Cakewalk products because of its input/output and VST synch requirements.

The question is why does SpinAudio list is an effect but not an instrument. My best guess is that it gets confused by the fact that Jamstix has audio inputs (most VST instruments don't have them but all VST effects do) and decides that Jamstix is an effect. It should check the IsSynth variable instead.

If you can't get support from SpinAudio on this, try the DirectiXer demo (www.tonewise.com) and it will work fine.

Bad news, I just checked the SpinAudio support forum and it says there that their wrapper does not support VSTi (VST instruments) at all.

Doesn't Home Studio XL come with the Cakewalk VST adapter?

FYI, we are currently negotiating with Tonewise on a bundle deal that would allow us to offer a discount on DirectiXer if you buy Jamstix.

Dennis, if you are still interested, the current sale means you can get Jamstix 1.2 + DirectiXer 2.5 in a bundle for only $109...
