I have JS2, but I'm kind of stuck in a JS1, Keyword Jam rut.
I've fired up JS2, and it looks so completely foreign to me.
I know, read the manual.
But if you have any quickstart tips, I would appreciate them.

Besides reading the manual
I recommend loading some quickstart songs, playing with different drummer models and their brain parameters to get a feeling what JS2 is capable of.
Later you can create some new parts in different styles and do some editing.
JS 2 is amazing. |

One awsome new feature that I dont know if JS1 had, is the click and drag each section of the song into your host. I think this is truly an awsome feature because it gives me the ability to mix things up in the host, in my case Ableton Live, in any way I want. I can use live's awsome editing abilities to loop only sections of a section, say I have an awsome section in JS like a really cool Chorus, I drag that puppy into one of Live's clips, then I play it back, well, say I really dig a section within that Chorus that I want to use in another clip, I can copy that clip into another clip section and use live's loop adjust, or I forget the name but I can really quickly set loop points within a clip, so when that clip plays back, it will only playback the loop I set.
Its so awsome I can't even describe it, then once I have all my clips, which are essentially loops, just the way I like them, I can have Live play back the whole sone, and while the song plays back, I hit the record button and live records all the clips in any way I select them. While Live is recording, I can go to verse1, chorus, verse2, breaks, fills, what ever I wish, and live records everything in realtime as JS plays back those clips. ONly thing I do, is put JS as drum module mode, since all the clips where made in JS in the first play, im just using it in a different way. Really awsome, I LOVE THIS program.
