Hate to be a pest, esteemed forum members,BUT, I am having a problem loading certain kits. Drum pak 2,DP1 combo-19 missing sounds.. Drumpak 2, DP1 Toms and Cymbals, 19 missing sounds.. Brushpak,Drumpak1, Stick Kit, 18 missing sounds...I can load DP1 Kick and have no missing sounds. Does it sound like I do not have Drum Pak 1 installed? If I don't, how do I get it? Thanks for your patience!! EDIT: A specific example of one of the missing sounds ..Tom-10" Birch DP1.. seems that all the missing sounds end in DP1. |

Go to your download page and get the XL Pak. That will install all your missing sounds. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thank you, Ralph!! That got most of them, but still missing 22' Stage Custom kick, the 12' and 8" China cymbals, the crash16'HHX, Snare side stick14' Stage custom, Splash 10', and tom bounces on the 10'-12"-14"-16" Birch DP1. The only one that I would really like to have out of the bunch is the 22"Stage custom kick. thanks again! milt. |

Those are Jamstix 1 stock sounds. Use the jamstix_data_setup.exe from Jamstix 1 to install them. The DP1 tom bounce samples have been omitted from the XL Pak. Jamstix 2 does not use them anyway. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Thanks for the reply, Ralph. I have a disc that you sent me with Jamstix 1 on it, but when I try to install the data, I get the kits, but not the 200 or so mb of sounds. Any ideas? The installation from the disc seems pretty straightforward, what am I missing? Thanks agin for your help!! |

If you have jamstix_data_setup.exe on your disk and execute it it will prompt you for a destination folder. That folder will then contain a subfolder 'samples' with all the sounds. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Ralph, I have the sounds, but they must be in the wrong place. I have my addons folder in F:program files 2/addons. The samples folder is in F:program files 2. The Jamstix2 dll is in C:program files/cakewalk/vst. Where should the samples folder be? I still don't see anything that says DrumPak 1. Thanks again for your patience, Milt. |

You need to establish two things:
a) What folder is Jamstix 2 installed at? Let's call it X.
b) What folder did you tell the jamstix_data_setup.exe to install into? Let's call it Y.
Your Jamstix 1 sounds are in Y:\samples. You need to move them to X:\sounds. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

OK, so I have copied my samples from JS1, and seem to be still missing some...for example in the rock kit (I think it is Big Kit, in the Rock section), it says I am missing 3 samples...any ideas?

That's because you don't own the XL sounds. The big kit uses some of those and should have been marked (XL) like other kits. Sorry about that! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No problem Ralph...just wanted to make sure I had it set up correctly! I'm using it under wine and other than the mouse latch problem (only on the kit load screen), It seems to work wonderfully, even in Linux!
