Hi friends, Im loving this awsome program just like all of you and learning more and more each day....

I'm happy to say that midi output into JS is working really nice now, I can see pretty much all the notes there and they play back ok except for a weird decrease in quality. I don't know how to exactly state it but say I drag my intro into a clip in live, then the verse, the chorus etc etc, when I change JS into Drum module mode, and i play back those midi clips, the sound just doesn't sound right, specially the snare. It sounds like if it was a lot less clear. I think I might have to do a recording for you guys to hear it. Now, if I change back to JS no input mode and have it play back all the sections, then it sound perfect again. Why could this be?

A brief audio clip would help a lot. You can e-mail it to me and I'll check it out.

Ralph, I sent you the wave files.

You know right now, I was trying to figure out why the snare sounds flanged. So this is what I did, in Ableton live under the Midi velocity editor, you know those little red lines with the circles at the tip that you can drag up or down to decrease or increase the sound of a particular note, well, if I click on the little circle at the end of the red line, the snare sounds fine, but if I click it again or in consecutive amounts, the flanging is there.

Now, its weird because sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt, I know for sure the flanging effect is there, but I cant pin point whats causing it.

I kind of like the feature of being able to record the midi output and have JS playback in drum module the clips, I think its an outstanding feature speciall when using live to play different sections at whatever time you wish. I think this is really necessary if youre using live as live allows you to really get creative with choosing different clips when ever you wish.

I hope I can get to the bottom of this weird flanging effect. It doesnt happen at all once I let JS playback from within, but as soon as i put it in Drum module mode, and playback the clip containing the midi info, the flanging effect comes back..

I think this is one I am not going to give up on. Thanks for any help friends.

Make sure you don't have two MIDI tracks feeding into JS2 and also that there isn't doubled MIDI data in your track.

Im going to look into that. I think that is what might be happening. I know for sure, i have changed JS to drum module and have midi in enabled as I can see the midi light lighting up. What im goign to do is delete all midi and audio tracks and just have one midi track with JS in it then have the clips in another midi track send their midi info the the Midi track containing JS, I think this will really show me if its working. Do you think i have this setup ok?

thanks in advance for all the ideas.

You were right Ralph, this new beta is the best ever! Everything is being recorded into live perfectly now and it also plays back faithfully. I created a new live set and did exactly what you said and now no more flanging. I was sending double midi data to JS. Also put monitor off on both the midi track that has JS in it, and the midi track that is sending the midi clip data to JS. This way everything works so awsome!

I LOVE THIS PROGRAM! Thank you Ralph and Rayzoon team for the blessing of making such awsome program to help me make music.

I wish you all so much prosperity this year and blessings to all.
