I'm not sure if my install went smoothly.

What files are supposed to be in jamstix2\data\sounds if you have jamstix2 plus the XL pack?

I see only two files, and there looks like a "missing" b file. I also recall that the XL download was in three parts.

Could be that I'm not missing anything, but this is what I see:

Drumsticks _a01.rzd
Drumsticks _c01.rzd

Second question, how would we load sounds if we have our own samples?

There are no 'b' files.

You are definitely missing (nearly) all sound files. Please use 'Install Pak' in the kit window to load the stock kit RXP2 and the 3 XL Pak RXP2 files. After that you should see loads of files in the 'sounds' folder.

Jamstix does not support user sample files at this time.

I just did that now (had done it before) with still no change. When installing, on the bottom line of the Jamstix2 window I can faintly see "Decompressing c:\.....sounds cymbol.r" etc. for several instrument pieces, takes 4 minutes or so, then I get a small dialog box title Information which says "Installation complete!"
But if I look in
C:\program files\jamstix2\data\sounds
there are still only those two .rzd files.

Note: I'm running Vista Home Premium, and Vista totally rewrites the rules on files and permissions.
