The arranger doesn't synchronize with the host when starting. Here is the problem:
1) I selected a funk style via manual jam/rhythm
2)I go to the arranger and I put an intro in bar 1
3) With sonar 3PE in bar 1, I hit the record button
4) Jamstix plays bar 1 with an intro (like it should), and then Jamstix plays bar 1 AGAIN (the arranger bar indication shows bar 1 a second time). Meanwhile - SONAR has gone onto bar 2.

Actually, the very 1st time I go through the above sequence, everything works like it should. If I stop Sonar, and go back to bar 1 to try and record again - that is when the problem happens every time. I tried resetting everything and this whole weirdness keeps happening. Am I doing something weird - or is there a bug? Or - is it supposed to do this? I just loaded Jamstix 1.1.

Help.

I can confirm this bug for all hosts that don't send barstartpos information, such as CW VST wrapper. This problem does not happen with DirectiXer. We will have a fix soon.

Do I get a free Jamstix T-shirt or something for finding a bug?

Ralph,

I had the same problem in FL 5.02. 1.02G was OK, but 1.1 wasn't
Version x3-4 still seems to have the same problem.
The first bar usually plays twice, so Jamstix is out 1 bar from FL.
It skips a bar on the 5th one to catch up....
Back to 1.02G!

Also, while I'm here, I'm busy setting up midi mappings to run
the sonic reality Imap drum layout in Sampletank (not subhosted - using midi out).
I've found you can set the notes OK, and they seem to play OK, but the
Audition button is either stuck on the GM mapping or something because
the sounds that play back under the audition do not match the notes that
have been set. Playback of the internal sound set is also patchy - some
sounds don't seem to play with the audition button.
This seems to occur in all versions that I've tried.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers,
Johnny

I can't duplicate this here with FL, it works fine for me. Could you send me a demo project that has this problem to support@rayzoon.com?

Could you tell me some example internal sounds that do this for you?

The next beta will have an improved audit function that should fix these issues.

OK Ralph,

Time zones make this a bit slow (You're about six hours ahead of me, but a day behind).

I'm at work now, but will mail you stuff tonight, and you'll have it for your tomorrow!

Cheers,

You may want to wait for X3-5 later today (at least our today here Mr. Green).

I've checked this out with your example project and was able to duplicate it when I set the ASIO latency at 100ms or higher. Please check your latency setting.

Thanks!

Ah hah!

For "proper" use, I have FL running in n-Track with asio drivers set to 10 ms or less latency.
For the set-up I was working on, I was running FL stand-alone, and hadn't actually looked at the output configuration (I don't know if I was set to the asio drivers or not - I'll check when I get home tonight).

Hopefully this will sort things.

Thanks Ralph.

Ralph,

I've got a SB live card with the kx project ASIO drivers...

It doesn't matter whether I use ASIO drivers with latency at 10 ms or 170 ms, or non-ASIO drivers with high or low buffer, I still have problems.
It has changed slightly with the ASIO drivers in that it will advance to bar two, but it generally repeats one beat for the whole bar.

Anyway, not to worry - the fix is to either leave the first four bars of the arrangement empty , or else go back to 1.02G which doesn't have these problems.

Also, the audit button is still off with the fairies on my set-up (this is x3-5).
When you map a key to a sound, you hear the correct sound play back when you select the key, but as soon as you push the audit button you get a sound from somewhere else on the keyboard.
Also, if I've flushed the internal sounds with the R button, when I load them back in, they don't play back with the audit button.

This is not a major - it's only the audit button. So long as the correct sounds play back when drumming (which they do), I can live with it.

Also...
I'm finding that the midi-out only button doen't seem to do any thing
(maybe I'm not using it correctly?). But whether it's set or not, Jamstix will load internal sounds (if any have seen set), and play them regardless of the midi-out only setting.

Again not a major. Just thought you might like to know.

Are others having these issues, or is it just my set-up?
(If it's just me, I'll shut up and live with it!!)

Cheers,
Johnny

PS don't want to sound too negative - JS is way cool - these are just issues that I'd prefer not have if given a choice.

Is this in FL Studio standalone?

Can you double-check in the ABOUT tab that you have X3-5? Also, what sound module is that with?
