Before I gripe let me make two points.
1. Overall I think this is a great programme and it is certainly saving me a lot of work while composing drum parts so I am certainly not sorry that I bought the programme.
2. It is quite possible/likely that my gripe is a result of not understanding how to use Jamstix properly.
The Gripe
A large proportion of the music I work on is 4/4 with a triplet feel (but it's not 12/8 ) and this is really hard to get happenning in Jamstix. I have set up Shuffle in the Transport section, I have programmed my groove with shuffle set on the 2nd and 3rd 16th of each beat and I have set Shuffle to 100% in the fill section of the brain and I'm using a Blues Shuffle style but still I get fills that have 4 hits to the bar and just don't give a triplet feel. Why is it so hard to get a triplet feel with this thing when it's such a fundamental requirement? Why can't I just divide a beat into 3 rather than 4 the way any other sequencer would let me? |

a) If you are using a shuffle style, move the 'Style/Drummer' slider in the fill section all the way left.
b) If you are using a non-shuffle style, load 'Steve' and move the 'Style/Drummer' slider in the fill section all the way right. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
