Hello,
I downloaded the demo of your product, and I have reaper, but I have no idea how to make Jamstix work after I download it. I'm completely lost. Talk to me as if i'm stupid, and walk me through it? All I have is the download. Don't know where to go from here to get it running. I'm sure this has been addressed elsewhere, though I was unable to find it....
thanks in advance. |

Thanks, |

Dear Neil. If indeed that is your real name...
It seems that you have chosen a rather terrible time of year to be expecting such prompt service. You really must understand that for many hardworking people, including the staff at Rayzoon, this is a good time to take a holiday, as many other people take holidays at this time as well and are sympathetic to this.
I hope you enjoy EzDrummer, but i can't help but feel that if you really chose not to purchase Jamstix that you have missed out. I have made many stupid purchasing decisions since i decided to mix music with computers, but Jamstix was one of the best decisions i have made (Reaper being the other one )
Cheers
DrJ
PS. Everyone around here is usually pretty helpful too, but as i said before, its a hell of a time of year, so maybe give me a chance to sleep a few and i'll post some tips on getting jamstix to work with reaper tomorrow, which seems to be about 6 hours away. |

Thanks for the response....
While I was serious about trying to decide between EZ and Jamstix, I meant my comment to be light hearted. I know the support team is probably enjoying the holidays, I just wanted to keep my thread up top for them to see it. I guess my little winking dude didnt work.
Thanks, |

Neil, if you still need help with JS2 and REAPER here it is:
1) Make sure the path to jamstix2_demo.dll is set in REAPER Preferences->Plugins->VST
2) Insert a new track
3) Click the FX button on the track
4) Click VSTi and select Jamstix2
5) Select a quickstart song in Jamstix 2
Now press play in REAPER and your drummer will perform. If you have EZDrummer, you can use it within Jamstix 2 via the load button in the kit window. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No worries, i didnt mean an offence either, but i was tired and i'm slowly discovering that when i havent had enough sleep i can sound like a bit of a prick.
Anyway... Ralph's instructions are much clearer than I could have given so I'll leave it alone! But yeah I have found Reaper to be the easiest host to configure out of the small number i have tinkered with. Once you know where everything is you can have it set up just as easily as any other host, i think they're all the same in that regard it just boils down to personal preference and the way your brain deals with things! If you have any more issues to do with Jamstix or Reaper feel free to send me a private message or harrass the folk on the Reaper forums, there seems to be quite a few other Jamstix users there as well, who are a bit more switched on and articulate when it comes to these matters than i will ever be.
tally ho,
jeff |
