I have heard, you can run an apple computer with Windows XP. If that's the case, i guess i can have jamstix playing in an apple computer. I consider bying a Macbook, and i would like to play Jamstix on it. Is this a possible solution, when you can't install Jamstix directly on an Apple computer?

you need to buy the Windows operating system, right?

if so, the OS you recommend to run Bootcamp/Jamstix?

i aks this now because a guy at work is auctioning off, for our xmas charity, a recent Windows home or student version of the OS and i'm wondering if that would work.

thanks.

Hi funktional,

I got a question about fusion if you don't mind! What are you running together sequencer wise? See, what I had in mind was running cubase 4.1 on xp (for older and pc only vst's) and logic 8 on leopard. Will they run together do you think? Using the same audio interface? How do you run your system? Sorry, more than one question because I'm intrigued! If I could run them side by side and do away with the pc that would be awesome.

Cheers.

Hi disco,
Sorry for the late reply,I have been away.
My set up is cubase4.1,yamaha 01x,yamaha motif es6 with m-lan.I run jamstix on vmware with savihost. If you have multiple i/o firewire audio interface like me they would share the same audio interface.Since the cubase and logic would consume a lot of system resources on both platforms,I would suggest you use less demanding application on vmware side of things.I usually use the midi only option on jamstix and record the output straight into cubase4 on mac os.I also can record the audio coming from jamstix straight into cubase but this is a bit demanding but it works. If you find my other posts on this forum you would find the detailed info on this subject.
