[quote="RonBot"]For some off reason, the JamStix start/stop key is offset two octives lower than the start/stop key setting in JamStix.

E.G.

JamStix Start/Stop Key: C4
Responsive Start/Stop Key: C2

Why is that?

My Jam Setting is Free Jam.

[EDIT]

Also, why are there start/stop keys with negative key values?

Thanks Smile

Why is that?

One octave could be the Roland/Yamaha offset. The other one I'm not sure. Can you try a different host to exclude FL as the cause? Maybe MiniHost or SAVIHost.

FL7 introduces 'Smart Disabling' for plugins. This interferes with Jamstix as FL7 will often disable Jamstix, incorrectly assuming JS has nothing to do since no MIDI data is sent to it. Please disable 'smart disabling' for Jamstix in FL7 via the plug icon in the top left of the JS GUI framed in FL7.

Thanks to Pikey for figuring this one out!

Hi,
I'm trying to feed a bass loop in FL7 via a midi out generator to jamstix via midiyoke #1 output. The host is bidule. Problem is whenever I start it all off with the bidule sync transport the midi out channel in FL does not start for what seems like ages. The sync light stays off, and then after something like 12 bars or so pops on and the midi output starts to work as it should. Meanwhile the other normal fl7 instruments and jamstix have started playing at the very beginning when play was pressed.

Is this a bidule or fl7 issue? Must have something to to with the midiout generator in FL I'm pretty sure, but the documentation on this is really very thin. Any help appreciated.

ty, sv

Jamstix 2 doesn't seem to load when FL7 is used as a plugin in another host.

I am using Reaper.

Hi there, I have FL7 and find drum programming quite tricky, so drawing in one note at a time on the piano roll currently suites me best. I was previously using the supplied FL FPC module, now have just bought JS2.

My issue is that with FPC it sends midi info to the Piano Roll, so i can see which pad I'm clicking on (Kick, Snare , Crash etc) whereas when I load up JS I'm flying blind, and with a much larger kit too. Is there something I'm doing wrong here, or some way to display the pad names on the FL Piano Roll like FPC does?

Over at Flipside I was told it's no-can-do. The reply over at Image-Line was a blunt: "It's up to the plugin to provide names for the notes it plays." http://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?t=7253

This is a very important factor in the noobish way I go about makin stuff Embarassed

Regs,
SC

AFAIK the VST specs do not contain a method to let the host know names for MIDI notes. Some hosts have mapping functions for this.

Oh right, yeah I just realised FPC is not actually a VST. So FL Wrapper doesnt provide developers such a mapping function eh?

Hi guys and girls,

I just bought Jamstix 2 and tried to use it in FL Studio 8.0.2.

When I load the plugin it appears to work.
I have downloaded the stock kit and the other Paks I purchased, unzipped them and installed them via 'Install Pak' in the 'Kit' window.

But when I try to load a kit there is always the message in red on the top right: "6 sounds missing" or "28 sounds missing", depends on the kit loaded. And if i try to use jamstix 2 only a few of the sounds are working and the rest only result in silence.

In that condition Jamstix is not useable. Can anyone help me? I dont know how to fix this problem. The installation of the programm seemd to work without problems!

Thank you very much in advance

Yours,
fruity
