I'm surprised (and relieved) that the drummers from Queen, The Police and Genesis were incluced - though I think they're not like they were "back in the day" (especially Roger). Though I still miss the more hardrock and metal part. Some people like... well...
Rob Bourdon (Linkin Park, don't laugh! such screamo stuff is often very cool)
John Otto (Limp Bizkit)
Lars (a band that has the name "metal" it in)
Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen (Nightwish - a MUST for that ghothic rock genre, lots of double bass and very straight drumming)
Joey Jordison (Slipknow, IMO one of the best metal drummers among us along with Jukka)
Yoshiki Hayashi (X-Japan, japanese Visual Rock Band, lots of double bass, tom riffs, very fast play)
Masayuki Nakano (Boom Boom Satellites, especially check out their track "Spine")
Mike Portnoy ("Dream Theater", got he can play - also at weird beat changes)
Just to name a few of the more metal oriented.
I also miss female drummers, drummers for RnB, session drummers for HipHop and Jazz. Then again, I'm sure we just scratched the surface.
One thing though Ben... how did you find out who is who? I mean... for Steve alone I could track down 8-10 different drummers listed on that earlier linked page. Thanks for the hookup though. I just wrote all drummers down in the TXT infofiles. I just hope Ralph sticks to that system, it's very handy and higly customizable indeed. |

"Let's a-bump this thread" - Mario
Wanna know if anybody worked on completing the picture pack for the new drummers yet, because... well... I'm lazy. |

Since this thread seems to be abandoned in terms of "pictures", let's ask the other way...
We know that this page here, gives us some dummer pics for editing (very cool):
http://www.drummerworld.com/
We found out who the first drummers are, including Animal (go figure). But with the new drummers, it's a bit difficult.
Let's hunt it down:
Lars
Mike
Neil
So much for the obvious people... But who the heck are Noah, Danny and Jason? Didn't find Noah over at the drummer page, and for the other two remaining ones are two to four choices available.
Somebody can shed some light on this? Cause if we clear that, the pictures should be simple. |

| Danny I'm sure is Danny Carey from Tool. Jason is probably Jason Bittner from Shadows Fall. The only thing I can dig up for Noah is the drummer from some obscure (and awful, IMO) death metal band, DeSade. The drummer is quite good though. |

| I think Noah is Noah Bernardo from P.O.D., because the info on Noah says he's some kind of nu-metal drummer. |

Cool pics!
But Mike likes (P)izza and Noah likes (B)eer, which is no surprise to Villapipo _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Pics are cool, thanks a lot for taking the time to put them up. For somebody who is not a drummer or is not familiar with the most famous ones (and is lazy to look them up) (hint --- me!!) could someone actually post their names please? |
