I've been playing around with the Tom Groove in 2.1.4 and I'm having trouble understanding it. No matter what I do, it only seems to generate a steady stream of 16th notes. The Half Time button doesn't seem to slow it down at all. I'm also confused about the Groove A and Groove B values with the Accents button.

I want the Tom Groove to create something more than the throw-ins from the Accent page but less busy than all 16th notes.

I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining -- Jamstix is the best. Thanks for any help.

The tom groove always creates a 16th pattern, the only difference is the accentuation of the notes. If you wish to alter it, you can do so manually while looping over a bar until you like it and then save the bar and import via a 'Groove Importer' into any style you like.
