I'm not sure about the blast beats... I really havn't tooled around with that yet.
The samples are actually good for any type of music... well, not any but it definately isn't limited to metal and the kit sampled is a very nice kit... trust me lol... I've played and owned a couple of higher end kits and the renown maple is awesome. _________________ Straight Jacket Sunday, Multiple Personality Disorder coming soon... |

Bummer. It keeps asking me for the license key, but absolutely refuses to accept any keyboard input. I've never seen anything like a dialog that ignores the keyboard before. I can't even use ESC or ENTER when the dialog box is up. I have to use the mouse to hit random buttons until it goes away...
...
A-ha! I can right click and paste into the dialog box. But... what's up with no keyboard use? Is it my antiquated Win2k or something? Anyways, I got it working now and I thought I'd post this in case someone else has the same issue. Just use the mouse for everything; close your eyes and pretend it's a Mac. |

I never even tried to type the key in but I did use the keyboard to copy/paste the key there. If that is a bug then it is a nice find. I guess the I'm not the only one who thinks actually typing in a license key is an antiquated practice |

Metal Pak is a great addition to the stable, Ralph. The new styles and drummers sound terrific - a quick listen to the quickstart tunes should remove any doubt. I'm finding that these new samples can work just as well with other feels - they are quite versatile in fact.
I have to say that I think Monkeymanx has done a great job sampling the Gretsch Renown kit. Love the AA/AAX cymbals too (Sabian AA dry ride - one of my favorites - has been recorded beautifully) and the snares, toms and kick are tight and punchy as all get out. |

Thanks Phil. It really is a great overall kit and I have found it to be great with pretty much anything musically. It really seems like Maple is a very versatile wood when it comes to drum shells. I've owned a couple other higher end kits and the Gretsch has a great sound is is probably the best looking kit I have owned too. The cymbals are the icing on the cake. I agree about the dry ride, it is an awesome sounding ride. _________________ Straight Jacket Sunday, Multiple Personality Disorder coming soon... |

Ordered. Hopefully it goes through and everything is fine
I don't need the samples but I need the drummer models and styles. |

Bought and installed -
I'm using it on quite a gentle track and it sounds fantastic - I really like these kit sounds - excellent - and the styles are giving me a whole new pallete to work with. |
