|

Hi-
As an example, say I want to use an Egg Shaker instead of the regular Shaker throughout my song. I can't figure out how to do this without editing the kit to assign the Egg Shaker sound to the Shaker, and I'd rather not have to do that every time I want to substitute one sound for another just to see if I like it better.
If I click on the Shaker in the Beat Editor it lets me select Egg Shaker, but that only affects the note I clicked on. There must be a way to change the selected instrument for each limb throughout the song?
It also bugs me a bit that I can't seem to change the "Sound Name" in the kit editor. I know I can change the Sample File Name by editing the .j2k file, but it'd be nice to have the Sound Name accurately reflect the sound I'm using. I might assign "Chimes" to something completely different, for example, but I don't see a way to change that.
I hope that's clear, and TIA for any help!

The problem with a global sound replacement function is that if you recompose later on, whatever brain originally created the shakers will revert to the old sound. However, we will look into adding such a function in a future update.
For now, editing the kit is the easiest way.
Changing the kit sound name also has side effects but we'll see what we can do about it... _________________ Ralph Zeuner
