Here’s a 7/8 drum pattern you may find interesting. I’ll do my best to provide a written instruction. The count is in the parenthesis.
(1) Left foot on a cowbell attachment or on the hi-hat
(2,4,6) Right hand on the cymbal bell
(3,7) Snare
(1,5) Bass drum
Once you get the basic pattern down, it’s fun to spread it around the set.

For people that program drums or notate, give it a try. It’s fun to watch people try to play with it or dance to it.
