|
Here's a quick teaser for the upcoming MetalPak. I can't give any details at this time other than that the kit is a Gretsch Renown Maple with AA/AAX cymbals, that the Pak will have new styles and drummer models and that we are trying to get it out before Christmas.
Mike Playing a 4.4
Mike Playing a 11/8
The second clip shows off the new 'Dial-A-Metal' style which has a slider that morphs the groove from a basic half-time all the way to a 16th double bass/quarter snare hit-fest. For this demo I simply mapped that slider to the mod wheel and played with the wheel as the song played. It's all one single part and no editing. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Price has not been finalized. It will be a bit higher than the old JS1 Paks since it contains not just sounds but also Jamstix 2 style and drummer models, which are quite labor-intensive. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Not to mention the labor I went through getting my drums all tuned up and sampled... I definately think this is going to be an awsome release. I'm testing it right now and am loving it.
One great thing for the people that like to do their own EQ and Compression techniques and settings. You can route all the different drums and such to multiple outputs and get your own sound out of it. There are already a bunch of different presets as well.
Also, you get 2 snares with this pack, the matched snare and an addition pork pie little squealer snare which has a much different sound from the standard. It's definately a high quality kit altogether and I'm confident that with this sample pack and the included drummers, it is going to rock. _________________ Straight Jacket Sunday, Multiple Personality Disorder coming soon... |

Sounds great, nice double kick work. Will there be straight ahead blast beats and more simplistic fast metal rhythms too? Maybe a Dave (Lombardo) style?? |

There will be various styles ranging from simple to complex and several drummers. More details will be announced soon. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I'm more interested in Danny Carey (TOOL) or Aaron Harris (ISIS) styles. Easy enough to program that kind of stuff, but sometimes the brain comes up with things you wouldn't expect! |

Creating styles and drummers for the JS2 engine is a complex process at this time. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I'd just like to put in a huge vote for drummer Danny Carey (Tool), too!!
I'll be jumping for joy if you end up deciding to include him. |

MetalPak does have a 'Danny' model.

Remember that we never state that our models are supposed to represent actual drummers....(polite nod from the legal department). _________________ Ralph Zeuner
