Hi All-

When I drag a MIDI clip (say from the SONG label) from Jamstix2 and drop it very carefully on the track/bar where I want it to land in SONAR PE7, it ends up somewhere else -- sometimes a bar or two, often many bars off.

Does anyone know what I can do to ensure that the clip ends up where I drop it?

Thanks-

-Susan

Hey Susan, you've probably thought of this, but is the now time marker set at the place where you want beat one? I have been dnd'n and haven't had any trouble, knock on wood. Milt.

Yes, the Now time marker is where I wanted the clip dropped. In this case, it was at Bar 53, and the JS2 clip ended up at Bar 105.

Thanks-

Sounds like something in JS2 is set to a multiple of two -- since bar 53 after the end of bar 52, and bar 105 is after the end of bar 104 -- and 104 is 52 doubled...

Are you perhaps using that JS2 option to work at double the host speed?

No, Mark, but it was a good thought! Wink

I can't it to dnd to the now time either. It even seems to ignore the snap to grid. I can usually get it close but not right on. As a work around I just have to change the starting point in the clip properties to move the clip to where I want it.
