I've got a part with a lot of fills, it sounds quite full and complicated. And it is. Problem however is that all crashes change on every playthrough. Sometimes I don't hear crashes at all at certain key points, and sometimes I do. I even locked the bars but that doesn't help! The timing of the crashes changes all the time! Any idea what's going on? I've got the latest version of JS2 running in Sonar 7 PE (also the lateset version).
EDIT
After a closer look I think the problem mainly lies with the End crash doing nothing some of the time. Right now I simply disabled the end crash and added them myself manually in JS 2's MIDI track.
BTW Those end crashes can really fool you: I had two unwanted crashes at two spots of the song and I couldn't see those in any of the Brain tabs (groove, accent, fill). Suddenly (a while after editing the bars and end crashes I mentioned above) I noticed the bars were red and apparently they had been assigned a fill to them, but I erased them at some time! But the bar was still regarded as a fill-bar and the End crash was enabled...! So I disabled the end crash AND pressed the trash icon for those bars again, and finally those crashes were gone... |

If the auto-crash cymbals become a headache I recommend you disable 'End Crash' and place the desired crashes yourself in the accent tab and use a low priority number (move slider left) to give them a high chance of being played. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thx for the tip!
BTW (while we are talking about it) I still find it strange that setting the slider to the LEFT (lower) gives them a higher change of being played...! Moving the slider to the right seems more logical and natural to me. But I've gotten used to it now, so... |

Yeah, I know...it started off like many other scales, i.e. DEFCON where 1 is more severe and important than 5. But it collides with common use phrases, such as 'This is of high importance', which infers a higher numeric value. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ha, from now on I will refer to that priority settings as DEFCON! |
