| Ralph [RZ] wrote: | | MiniHost menu: MIDI->Tempo Synch->MIDI Clock | That didn't seem to work for me, but I'll give it another try as I don't think I had tweaked Tracktion the way I needed to so that it would send midi clock. I did however get a Tracktion mac to Tracktion PC working extremely well. I was surprised that there was really no noticeable latency. I'll try minihost again tonight to see if I can get it to sync. _________________ darcyb62 |

Hi Ralph, what I meant was that minihost and the jamstix runs independently, since minihost doesn`t have a tranport bar I have to use the lock icon on jamstix to start and stop. And I don`t know how to set the tempo on minihost either.I will try live lite6 tonight on my virtual pc tonight, right now I am at work we have windows here so I can`t check the probabilities with my studio set up.

IT may not have a transport bar but it does have a power button in the top left corner. If you click on that Jamstix should function as expected. I don't have minihost in front of me so I'm not sure how to adjust tempo at the moment but I think it's done from the global settings menu. _________________ darcyb62 |

burak | How do you connect the two instances of Live? Do you need to bring it out to external midi or can you do this through software? _________________ darcyb62 |

I have cubase send midi clock to live6 on pc with the set up I explained with this tread.http://rayzoon.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2872But you can do the same with live6 on mac to live6 on pc.Live lite6 doesn`t have external sync capability but the demo live6 has,Now I am able to run jamstix synced to cubase on my mac and this is good news for mac users who has these sequencers.BTW my computer is not that strong which is mac mini intel 1.66ghz 2gb ram.If anybody has stronger mac than mine they should definitely try jamstix2 with a virtual pc(parallels or vmvare).I am really happy with the results I get even with this modest system.

burak | Gotcha... I was thinking (hoping) you found away to connect midi internally between the two hosts but I see you are going external. That's okay... I can make that work with Tracktion. My limitation right now are physical midi ports, but that's no big issue...
