Hope I will have time to test this weekend.
I have a problem with the green color. I never wear anything with even a green stripe in it, and I have never used green paint around the house. So you can imagine how happy I am with the option of other skins. Could someone make a skin in bluish, grey, black colors. Or just some silver. |

It's quite easy to change at least some part of the skin now. Haven't really looked into it deeply but by spending just 10 min. playing around with the background I came up with this :

| Great skin, Arcana. If just the sand colored/yellowish parts were changed to a light grey color, it would be very close to my skin of choice. |

Here's hoping - because without the ability to actually change the truly bad choice of UI fonts in JS2 - you guys can create all the color schemes you want - the interface will still remain difficult to work with. |

Font name, color and size of labels can be adjusted by skinners. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I made a skin similar in color to Arcana by just bring each bmp into Photoshop and changing the Hue to the blue side.
I imported all the graffics that are in the main directory of "skin" and did almost all. Unfortunately doing that does take away from some of the transparentcies but overall looks very nice and easy to read.
I did not change any of the small icons in the editor section for the parts. there are still a couple of yellow bars where your groove/accent/fill window is and when you open the "parts" drop down boxes. I couldn't find how to change them.
The overall folder is just shy of 29 megs (yikes!) but as I said looks great. I couldn't get the folder to show up in the skins drop down box so I renamed the simple one and changed mine to simple.
I don't know how to post a pic but I will if someone tells me how. _________________ Marcus2323

Awesome. How will these guys get around a scenario where they change the font to one that only they have on their systems. Will they have to ship the fonts with the skin? |

Marcus you post the picture using the "Img" button at the top.
It's
I did this one today. I'll probably change a few bits but not much. Don't think I'll get into changing fonts and moving things around. But when I'm done anyone is welcome to change my skin around.

It took a while to convert all the images but I like the look. _________________ Marcus2323

Customizing a skin sound like more work than I want to do. So I will just wait and see if someone else comes up with my skin of choice.
Yesterday a preview of Superior 2 was announced. It will look a lot better than the current version, but unfortunately the release is about 6 months from now. When it arrives it would be nice to have a JS2 skin with colors to match Superior 2 so that the two could pretend to be parts of the same unit. |

so, did I miss something? Where can I get some of these other skins.
I would've settled for 'fuzzy purple' instead of the old fuzzy green, but these new skins you guys are doing is definitely easier on my old eyes.

So if you took the brain panel from the green skin and stuck it on the blue skin presumably tombuur would be happy.
I think that would be pretty close to my perfect colour scheme as well.
I've no idea how you do it, but I would be very pleased to use it if you were so generous as to make it public. Keep up the good work! |

| Arcana, I really like your skins. You have a good eye for it. Really looking forward to offical releases of these for general consumption. |
