This is the release candidate for the upcoming 2.0.19 update, which will be an official release of all hotfixes to date. The updater also includes a new skin, the new Brad Bush groovemaps, updated kits and the missing drumstick samples.

Go to your Rayzoon download page to download this update.
Please let us know if you have any issues with it!

Changes since hotfix 2.0.19-RC3

  • skinning system now supports non-standard DPI display settings
  • added 'Extract Part' to bar menu
  • fixed sound sometimes skipping with FL Studio and 'Fixed Buffer Size' unchecked
  • fixed kit and event auditing via MIDI-Out being disabled by last beta
  • added loaded quickstart song name to song sheet (new skins only)
  • 'Power Hand' now offers 4 degress of hihat opening instead of 2
  • added ini parameter to suppress panel mouse moving on Linux/Wine (BlockMouseMove=1)
  • max core bars per parts has been raised from 16 to 64

Changes since hotfix 2.0.18

  • implemented basic skinning support and two new skins ("Simple" and "Cymbolize")
  • added 'Animal' drummer
  • fixed some fill issues
  • fixed MIDI import problems with MIDI files that use pitch bends
  • fixed (benign) error message, occuring sometimes when loading a song, style or player while moving the mouse over the brain area
  • fixed remaining MIDI-to-host issues with Ableton Live 6 (not 5)
  • manual load operations that affect the brain (i.e. loading a part from disk) now properly refresh the brain display
  • added support for 'MaxTrim' ini parameter to extend input trim range. Default is 600.
  • added VST automation parameters 'Reduction' and 'Timing'
  • improved reduction logic
  • added visual bar offset option
  • several minor fixes
  • importing a JS1 groove with shuffle now only sets the part (not the song) to its required settings

Changes since hotfix 2.0.17

  • fixed error when clicking in the bar editor in specific ways while host is running
  • fixed missing or dual MIDI key assignments in all kits
  • fixed brain menu not displaying when going from drum module mode to a jam mode
  • fixed problem with halftime mode note placement, introduced in earlier hotfix
  • fixed brain elements not always displaying, introduced in earlier hotfix
  • fixed 'odd drum icons' when importing JS1 fills that use the old tom bounce samples
  • Timing, Shuffle, Min Dyn and timeline sliders now operate smoother
  • when saving a kit, Jamstix 2 now warns if MIDI keys are not assigned, or more than once
  • when manually adding a note to the fill aspect of a non-fill bar, the bar is now automatically flagged as a fill

Hmmm, a new drummer, eh? That wouldn't be Animal from the Muppets, would it?

Fraggle Rock?

Anyone else I know? Laughing

Ooh, 2 new skins. But no screenshots, so I'll have to wait the whole day until I get home to see it.

one of them yes. I also thought perhaps it might have changed a bit since it was posted. Not that I'm complaining if it hasn't. Looks good.

I have no problems with Savihost, can change between skins and everything looks fine.

The only thing that I sometimes notice is a refresh problem, when the brain is empty. Sometimes in Cubase SL it just keeps refreshings the empty screen.

It's ok here, too, in savihost 1.31.0.1.
Only ugly problem (not JS related):
Savi- and Minihost always turn on those hideous window animations, any idea how to stop that ?

lucky,
don't worry, when my brain is empty it's a refresh problem, too, most of the time. Razz
sorry, you asked for it ! Very Happy
Cheers,
Rhino

My VST window (which is not resizable) is clipped off on the left side by about 10%.

I am using Windows XP and Ableton Live 6.0.10

Edit: After looking at it further it is really messed up in text placement being out of bounds of the outlines etc. My screen setting are 1280 X 1024 And my DPI is 125% Normal (120 DPI)

Edit 2: Relaoded 2.0.18 and which works just fine.

Hi Ralph
I am using savihost, after the update,I can't audition the kits on the external instruments(midi-out only). It plays the groove fine but when I stop the groove ,when I hit individual kits the jamstix doesn't transmit anything out but as I said when I start the groove the js2 tranmitts again as usual but still not my individual hits on the kit page.

peace
burak
The problem is gone when I reinstalled the 2.018

Hi Ralph,

Under C4 the midi drag and drop feature work not correctly.
It lost some midi data.

Dunno, maybe it's me, but...

No matter if I have a transition or repeating fill activated, and in the "fill" section of the pattern is "end with Crash" activated... I hear jack sh*t, meaning no crash at all. Tried this with different styles, kits (the JS2 Stock kit, didn't install all others from JS1 yet, as I have a question about that in another thread) and drummer brains. No chance.

Is this maybe a bug?

One bug for sure is, if I use the Classic Style and Silent Drummer, then click in the pattern editor right on one of the sliders with a right click. Then I get this message: "List index out of Bounds (-1)", if I click okay now, then it starts the MIDI CC routing window.

System:
Windows XP Pro SP2 (all updates)
Intel P4 2,4GHz Single Core
1GB RAM
Cubase SX3.1.1 Built 944 (the last update that was available)

Hi all.

With 2.0.20 i can't load ccMaps (it may be a prob in earlier versions, but i didnt use it Wink ). Every try i get an AccessViolationError at address ....20. If i kill the errordialog the ccMap seems to be loaded. But i dont know if there are unknown sideeffects then.
This happens under Win XP pro and Vista Ultimate. Hosts are Cubase4, Live6 and Sonar6PE.

Btw. the CC-learning does nothing here. If i move a midicontroller in the ccMap-Dialog (the MidiIn is lightening) nothing happens. The manual says the moved controller should be selected.?!? Or do i need to set "Jam with midi"? hmmm.

Ooh, this was unexpected. I like them VERY much.

One tiny catch, the leftmost icon on the top right area - brings you to the Jamstix 1 home page, not Jamstix 2.
