I was just curious whether the live loops and cubase fill trigger problems might accidently have been fixed by all the numerous hotfixes, so I tried it this morning quickly with 2.0.15. Unfortunately they are still there. Just thought I mention it here, no worries.
Take care,
Lucky

Liveloop issues will be fixed in next hotfix. The fill trigger worsk great for us here. Can you describe in detail how you are using it and what problem you are seeing? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I'm not at my own computer now, so I am writting this a bit from the top of my head. The fill trigger is working correctly when I use VSTHost as the host for J 2.0.15. But when I move to Cubase SL 2 it is not working anymore.
I use the FCB1010, and have one of the pads assigned to send the C0 note. I have a midi channel that receivers all midi input, and sends it to the JS2 plugin. When I press the pad, I can see that JS2 is receiving the midi note as the midi LED blinks every time I press it, but nothing happens. No green fill bar as happens in VSTHost.
Could it be that because of some midi setting in Cubase, Cubase SL2 receives the note differently, e.g. it is not a C0 but something else? I will see if I can check this once I get home again. I could also try to set up a midi channel with a couple of C0 notes in it, to see if that works. |

Ralph, I did a quick check tonight and saw that in Cubase SL2 the trigger works only once! So it receives the midi trigger, plays the fill and makes the bar green. But any subsequent triggers are ignored by JS, though the midi LED is blinking
Stopping and restarting the song doesn't help to get the trigger working again. Closing the project and reopening again shows exactly the same behaviour, one succesfull trigger only.
Hope this helps in finding the problem.

Discoved what was causing the fill trigger problem in Cubase. I was sending notes at zero velocity from my foot controller (nice handy global setting, which had me running around in circles previously!), and Cubase was ignoring them because of this.
Sorry about the confusing and extra work, my mistake
I am not sure yet if triggering in relation to live loops is working correctly. Maybe live loops needs a bit of extra work still. |

There are still some live loops issues in JS 2, v2.0.19.
I created a 2 part song, both parts are exactly the same:
* 1 bar
* 50 reps
* No rep & tran fills
* Imported JS1 Rhytme No Words
* Silent Drummer
* Jam - no input
* Power Song 90%
The switching between these 2 part works, but often the very first note after switching (a kick in this case) is only partly played (like about 80% of the wave file) or not played at all.
* When adding the drummer Phil to one of the two parts, the same behaviour occurs.
* When adding the drummer Phil to both parts, there is sometimes some faint 'oddness' around the very first note after the switch, like a timing error, but it is always played!
* When using the drummer Carter for both tests, a similar behaviour can be noticed.
Going through the same scenario's but now using Jam with Audio and making sure the audio signals is allways around 80%:
* When using the drummer Silent for both tests, a similar behaviour can be noticed as described above.
* When using the drummer Phil for both tests, a similar behaviour can be noticed as described above.
* When using the drummer Carter for both parts, after a couple of switches I start to loose the kicks on the first part, though they are still often played on the second part. |

This is caused by buffer crossings, meaning the latency is big enough that Jamstix sometimes has to process two bars in one audio buffer. If the jump from one liveloop part to the other occurs between those two then you may lose notes that are very close to the beginning of the new part (or get doubled notes).
We are working on a fix... _________________ Ralph Zeuner
