Hello All,
I've recently dusted off my N-track program and thought I'd give Jamstix another whirl to make some tracks for a song I'm writing. I'd actually given up on N-Track and Jamstix about a year ago and switched over totally to Mac/ProTools, but Ralph was nice enough to give me an upgrade to JS@ so I thought I'd give it another shot.
On a side note, I'd like to express here publicly, my respect for Ralph and the Jamstix corp. He acted, and supported his product in a way that you don't find a lot of businesses doing nowdays and he deserves credit. Thanks Ralph!
Anyway, I've got ver 2 installed, have the m8 plug going, getting signal, start Jamstix, press live, play, but no sound from Jamstix. I can here trax I'm recording on N-track, but no drums.
My specifics are:
PIII
512 memory
MAudio Delta soundcard.
I'm sure it's probably something in the config, but damned if I can figure it out. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Jeff Appleton |

I'm completely unfamiliar with N-Track, but in Reaper here's what I do to get audio sounds:
(1) set jamstix up in "Jam, no input" mode;
(2) load the desired drumkit
(3) set the track I'm planning to use Jamstix on to "record output (stereo, latency compensated)"
(4) arm that track for recording.
Now, when I push either "play" or "record" I can hear the drums.
If I ever have a problem, I pull up the kit visualization to be sure I've got Jamstix working internally.
If these don't help you, hopefully someone who knows something about N-track can help. Good luck! |
