Just started using Jamstix 2 - it's a great tool!
I'm mapping the NS7 kit which can understand CC4 for hihat opennes, but I can't see how to set Jamstix to send the controller to the hosted module (in this case Halion Player). |

Open your jamstix2.ini file and add this section to it. Change the DLL name if it doesn't match yours:
[HALionPlayer.dll]

Thanks. So that's the dll name in the heading? The DLL is "HALion Player.dll" but is reported as the host inside Jamstix as "HALionPlayer" (i.e. no space).
Also is there any way of sending it in MIDI only mode too? The reason I ask this is that there is a grainy distortion to HALion Player when hosted in Jamstix that doesn't occur outside of it. It's not latency related, as it does it at 100mS as well as my more usual 10mS. I was wondering if it might be related to the NS7 kit being at 48kHz and I'm working at 44.1.
Edit: his occurs in Tracktion 3, Reaper 1.888 and Reaper Beta 2 |

You could use your own MIDI controller envelope on CC4 inside of the HALion MIDI track. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I could, but I'd much rather it was under the control of jamstix.
Anyway, I've resampled some of the NS7 to 44.1 and they seem to play back click-free. Only about 17 GB of samples to go <g> |
