|
|
Just wondering if what I am experiencing is normal. I have JS1 and JS2 installed. JS2 is taking up about double the cpu that JS1 is taking, on average....with it hitting as much as 50% on my machine...which is more than just about any other Virtual instrument I own. Something must not be right there.
I'm using latest updates and in this case, within Brainspawn Forte host.
Are other people experiencing similar cpu usage on JS2? |

| No - barely rises above 5%->10% on Traction 2 - Core2Duo. Sounds like something amiss on your system |

How does JS2 compare to JS1 on your system?
My system is older than yours and I don't expect it to be as low as you, but JS1 ion my system is reasonable. JS2 takes more CPU than minimonsta and other VSTi's that should be taking more than JS in my opinion. and its taking double the CPU as JS1. I have them both installed and can switch back and forth to compare. |

| Note - at the moment it appears to only be happening this way in Brainspawn Forte..which is not actually that big of a deal for me. its quick and easy to pull up JS in Forte, but ultimately I will be using it in Sonar and JS2 appears to be only slightly more CPU intensive than JS1 in Sonar. |

Some testers actually saw less CPU usage with JS2 than JS1.
Dewdman, could you run JS2 in forte again and then send me the rzdlog.txt file afterwards? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Basically they are both so low in CPU usage on my system that it is hard to tell them part.
I tried loading up multiple instances. Four simultaneous Jamstix2 instances uses around 10-15% of the CPU. Four Jamstix1 instances uses 15-20%.
So it looks like Jamstix2 performs even better!!! |
