EDIT: these files are already contained in updates since 2.0.18

Brad Bush has graciously given us permission to distribute a bunch of groovemaps he has created. We will soon have them on our site but until then here is a direct link:

Brad Bush GrooveMaps

Simply unzip into your 'groovemaps' folder of your Jamstix 2 folder. In order to get quickly acquainted with them, it's best to load '8th Rock' and then use the groove weight loader in the song menu to load various groovemaps. After each load, hit COMP to hear the recomposed groove with the new weights.

Big thanks to Brad!

I have been a long time lurker and had JS1 since last fall, so it is good to give back just a little bit. JS2 is working tons better for me in creating the kind of drums that I need for my music, and has been a new inspiration.

I think these groove patterns give the industrious user a way to "look under the hood" of the brain. Like Ralph says, try them out on 1/8 rock first to see what they do, and then on a bunch of other grooves. Sometimes the results are strange, and sometimes inspiring.

Ok, I'll dance with you, but watch my feet. Wink

They give a different feel to an existing groove.
The best way to find out, is load them and have a play.
