How best is it possible to create and store two bar patterns?
I have started playing around creating my own grooves and using these as styles; but, grooves seem to be created from one bar only, and variation comes only with random accents or manual adjustment of bars.
I wanted to set up a two bar pattern in 3/4 where the snare comes on beat 2 in the first bar and 3 in the second, and to deploy this as a groove. |

| I think the only way to set that up effectively is to have a part that is two bars long. Then set the part up with as many repetitions as needed. Turn off the "fill on reps" button and just mark bars for fills manually. |

How are you creating the grooves? I find using 2 bar MIDIs in an Import style preserves the 2 bar structure.
And I would think that if you do it in the bar editor, as long as you repeat the 2 bar pattern for as many pairs as your part is long in the core bars, it should preserve the 2 bar groove as well. |

I've not yet used midi import. I've been creating grooves within jamstix 2, but also have been using the JS1 patterns.
Perhaps then, save a two bar pattern as MIDI then import is the best route/ |

Yes, save as MIDI and use via Import style is the best way to store and use a multi-bar groove across projects.
