So who are the real life versions of these drummer models?
For someone who doesn't know drummers, but would like to learn and read up on these people... |

Was thinking about this myself, and, having read various older posts in the build-up to JS2. I got an idea about some of the drummers modeled, but as the legal connotations may prevent naming the drummers fully, maybe a band or song name would give us enough of a hint (or research info) to find out who we're actually using. As with all other JS2 post i've seen, congrats Ralph on an amazing piece of software. As far as i can tell from the few hours i've had to use JS2 it seems so much more mature as a flexible song writing/ recording tool. The prospect of Jambassist/ Jamhand? (percussionist) let alone all the other addon paks is too much to bear. How can we possibly live without them!
Would have to agree with another post I saw, that any extra groovemaps would be greatly appreciated, as the one 4/4 straight groove doesn't give those of us unused to using groove templates enough of an idea to understand how important they really are.
And while on the topic of addons etc. the previously mentioned idea of more rhythms (in a much older post) for all of the different genres/ styles would be a real winner!! As if you don't have enough to contend with answering all our post and processing the orders! It seems the Jamstix legacy is now secured. To all those who haven't upgraded or bought Jamstix2.... DO IT!! There is no better software or developer as far as I can see, especially when compared to the huge software companies and what they provide, but even more for the support you receive at the price it costs and the dedication to enhancing the products and getting it working for as many as humanly possible within the multitude of different hardware and host DAW setups.
Just take my money Ralph. Now waiting for the next release. Addons, Rhythms, Sound paks, Bassists , Percussionists, Groupies. Here's one definite sale every time. |

I would like to see each drummer get a quick note on what's his preferred style. i.e James stix likes metal, etc. |

How about if I start this thread on a non-rayzoon sponsored forum, and a non-rayzoon employed person lists a "best guess" of who these drummers are.
Lithe... I only got 3 of those. |

So, where is this non-rayzoon forum? It's not KVR. I looked.

Seriously though - Ralph, as someone who does not know any drummers by name or have a clue who plays with what band, it would be really helpful for me to be able to listen to some of the music played by these drummers to know which drummer to choose when I'm looking through the list to choose a drummer model. The names mean nothing to me, I need to hear what they play like.

| Ralph is not ever going to give an answer. He's basically protecting his butt so he will be able to keep making us software that we love. I'm glad he is taking that stance. We are free to make our own speculations about who the drummers may be. They're all pretty clear. They're also all listed in this thread aleady. You don't need a thread at another forum, the most obvious possible identities for all the drummer models are listed right in this thread. This thread here even has pics of every drummer to put in your JS2 folder so you see the guys instead of the stock drummer. |

I don't think that posting names in the forum will get Ralph or Rayzoon in trouble, We are just commenting on what we think the models are modelled after. If anyone has some legal basis for not naming them I'd like to hear it.
For example, "I think Alec Baldwin is a dick". That statement is fair game on a forum. However pursuing some kind of vendetta or posting defamatory info is not. I can't go about falsefying info and creating rumors etc. about a specific person for the basis of profiteering or character assasination. If I'm wrong, somebody please inform me of the statute or law that is being broken.
As such, IMO, post away full names.

i totally agree!
what if someone posts:
i like very much this dummers:
phil collins
lars ulrich
Carter Beauford
expecially in their songs A,B,C?
what legal issues there could be?
there are websites dedicated to them and no one have ever complained
this is not a post by rayzoon stating: "with jamstix you have drummer XY playing with you!"
is just a common talking by common people!
honestly, i don't understand such "secret" about drummer names! _________________ listen to my music at

| There is nothing secret. They are all listed in the third post of this thread, except for Carter who is listed in the fourth post. |

sorry, but for people not accustomed to band members name and to bands itself hints like,
Roger - pow
Steve - gadfly
Stewart - will arrest you
and others
don't say anything....
but looking at the photos, i decided to give a listen to my Queen cds once more, in which roger tylor played the drums... _________________ listen to my music at
