|
|
Greetings All,
On a Cakewalk forum (Software), one member posted that he could not get MIDI output to change to other channels for recording, or that after changing he could not record on that channel. Although I am not exactly sure what he was describing (because he did not explicitly state what steps he took), I did find that indeed I also could not record anything other than Channel 1 even though the kick was changed to output to Channel 9. As an explicit example,
SONAR 6 PE, Version 6.2.1:
New Project (Normal): Jamstix2 MIDI Out
Synth Rack / Soft Synths / Jamstix2(13) with Enable MIDI Out
Jam Session (Rock) / Load
Jam with MIDI
Kit / Right-Click Kick Drum to Setup "Kick & Snare"
Increase Kick MIDI "Ch" (output) to channel 9 (then Close/Close)
Change Track #3 MIDI Input from None to Jamstix2 / MIDI Ch. 9
Track #3 Arm for Record
Record
Nothing recorded, but heard Jamstix2 kit playing (eventually)
Change Track #3 MIDI Input to Jamstix2 / MIDI Ch. 1
Record
All recorded and verified by Solo / Play, including Kick which should have been on Channel 9, not Channel 1.
Cakewalk SONAR 6PE Project (right-click and Save Link As):
Cakewalk Project File
Thanks for any help!
Regards,
Dave Clark |
