Ok, I´m going to be a little emotional, but that´s what making music is almost all about. I´m the first pointing bugs and making suggestions, that´s because you´re the one who´s listening to our wishes and probably the software author that does this best. I´ve pointed a bug that was essentially preventing me to use JS 2 accordingly to my desired workflow before the last beta was released, and I´m writing this before checking if this was fixed, although its description says it is. The reason I´m doing this is because I believe there are lots of musicians here who can play guitar, bass, keyboards, sing, but can´t have drums at home, can´t play drums and could never make their drum tracks sound realistic. Well, since Jamstix 1 you can, but Jamstix 2 was a real quantum leap. I´ve been waiting for this for months, I have postponed personal projects for JS 2 sounded the perfect solution to me. And in fact it was. I felt somehow embarrassed when you said that you felt embarrassed for stability bugs. I guess everyone that´s part of the Rayzoon community knew that every problem would be solved in shorts periods of time, for all we know or should know that you work non-stop until get it all fixed. And, more than that, you let us know where you are at. When you said my specific problems would be solved in one to two weeks, I was ready to wait, but it´s supposed to be fixed in 24 hours. That got me going much before I expected. When we post a thread in the forum, we have almost realtime communication most of the times, and we are many asking many things at once. I´m pretty sure if this was the standard behavior, piracy would have become obsolete. That´s the reason if a friend of mine prayed me to give him a copy, I´d tell him to buy it or give him the money. I won´t even mention the price you ask for your work.
I´ve got to say it´s brilliant work for brilliant price with brilliant support in a brilliant community. Yes, it´s very emotional, but it resets my way of seeing software production and people behind it. And makes me feel embarrassed for asking too much sometimes, although I might keep on asking
Sorry for the english, being brazillian that´s my best awhile.
All in all, thanks for everything. I´m sure I´m speaking in the name of many here. |

I agree 100%....Ralph and his band of work-aholics are tirelessly fixing and adding new features daily. Here we sit at version 2.011 on the 8th day after release. I've been to many forums looking for solutions to my computer problems over the years and have seen a question posted that never even gets acknowledged let alone a resolution posted. Soundblaster and all those other big companies need to read this forum and get a true read on how communication and passion can overcome many obstacles......Sorry....I'm getting carried away here but Ralph and the boys/girls are leap years ahead of anything else out there.
You have our full support because you support us 100%!
Cheers! _________________ Marcus2323

In addition to PC-based recording, I'm also involved with PC training and support, and I've never seen a level support approaching what I've seen here since the release of Jamstix 2 on August 20th. In fact, this experience has totally revised my concept of what superb software support should be.
Plus, Jamstix 2 is amazing when compared with its "peers"... |

Well, I have to say I'm now on my third project using JS2. The speed and ease in which I can now get down a basic drum track I think is fan-bloody-tastic! And even in it's unedited JS-composed form the tracks sound quite convincing and authentic The only people who are likely to nit-pick over Jamstix now are the real drummers who are perhaps feeling just a tad threatened right now ! Kidding of course. As clever as technology get's there's no substitute for the real thing, but having said that, I think JS2 has surely gotta be the best, most flexible, and certainly most affordable alternative. Apart from drummers, I'd say most listeners wouldn't know they were listening to software!
