Hi, Ralph, there´s something that gives me lot of trouble trying to work with JS 2. It´s my habit changing a song´s structure more often than most people, I think. I have talked about it before in the forum, but I´ve been messing a little more with parts and noticed that

All fills of every part that are not transition or repetition fills lose both position and contents when:

1) I resize a part
2) I load another part even if it doesn´t change its size
3) I create a new part, before or after any other part

That demands you to set the song structure before any fill editing, but then you´re lost if you wanna change something, insert empty bars before or in the middle of a song, as well as if you want to load a previously saved part. It´s something that keeping me from using JS 2 for real composition awhile.

Not sure if it´s a bug, maybe it´s the concept, but it´s very uneasy to work like this as you lose a lot of creative potential in your song. Is there any chance that at least saving a part and reloading it later will keep manually and hand created fills in their relative position in the part and also their contents?

Thanks.

That's really odd because I couldn't duplicate that here when you posted about this somewhere else. I'll definitely check this out in-depth again cuz that is quite annoying!

Hi Ralph.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've just re-checked with 2.09, running in Cubase 4 (4.03). The problem is exactly as acabreira described.

Thanks for Jamstix by the way - it really is brilliant software.

Regards

M

Confirmed bug. Will be fixed in 2.0.10, which should be out later today.
