If only all software companies had the support Rayzoon has. The world would be a much better place.
Anyway, onto my question.
I always try to preface any forum questions with the fact that I'm really more of a tinkerer with midi and soft synths etc. I sometimes spend a couple of months away as life sort of gets in the way.
I know much less about Drum Midi than anything else. JS 2 is great, and I have downloaded some free midi files from GrooveMonkee, and did have an issue loading them up (they didn't seem to show) but that may have been my inexperience with JS2.
I think I'd like to look at importing clips, then playing around to my liking, and I'm quite prepared to pay a fair price. Does anyone have any suggestions or do the same?
I realize that JS can do so much more - but this is something I'd like to explore, should anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks in advance. |

Hi Dave
I downloaded Addictive Drum Demo, which has several Midi files, but would not load into JS2.
I then imported them into Cubase, saved again as midi files, then they worked Ok in JS2.
If you have Jamstix 1, importing those rhythms, will give you enough variation to last you a life time.
Having said that, with all the drummers/styles/control variables available in JS2, I would experiment more there.

With JS1 I use midi clips from Prosonic Studios to set my initial rhythms - which I then allow JS1 to alter dynamically. You can download trial stuff from their website - and generally the pricing is fairly reasonable.
Haven't yet had a chance to try it on JS2 |
