I made my own default song for JS2, with various settings, kits, etc. I wonder if this default song could give problems with new versions of JS2. I mean, sometimes there are new options which are not in my default song. This also goes for Sonar projects with JS2 in it: in that case JS2 may try to find options which aren't there anymore.

In short: is it necessary to remove any other files or take care with what you load when I've installed a new version of JS2?

I ask this also because Sonar frequently simply quits without a message when I load a song with JS2 in it, and I noticed this happened immediately after installing another version more than once. Rebooting the computer and loading the project again works fine after that. Apart from that Sonar quits every now and then without notice. (I'll try to send a log tomorrow.)

I recently had Sonar shut down like that when I was experimenting with JS2, and then tried to load a song with JS1 -- Sonar just shut down in a flash as JS1 was loading after I opened the song. But after a reboot, all was fine with the re-opened JS1 song.

The nightmare scenario is that future updates mess with previous work done. In this case, I would have been very upset if I could no longer open previous JS1 songs. But I fully support J van E's concerns...

Older versions should open fine. The save format is built to do that.
If you have crashes with 2.0.7, please send me the log right after the crash.

Just posted 2.0.9. If you have any Sonar shutdowns with that one, please send me the log.
