Hi, Ralph, if that´ll make you feel better, you´re not the only one who can´t sleep because of JS 2 release, but then you´re making money of it . Here are some more problems I´m trying to give you:
1) Create a part, Style = Silent, Drummer = Steve
* Go to the ´Accent´ tab
* Activate the ´bar´ only control;
* Raise all the sliders a bit
* Click the ´recompose´ button.
Now:
a) Accent is composed;
b) you can´t see the cells that were composed (I still don´t understand if this is normal, for it loops but it never appears, unless I click the bar or leave the accent tab and go back or play another bar);
c) it marks some beats with red underlines, but they are not related to what was just created at least in the first time;
d) some open hats are created, but when you try to edit them, they don´t appear in the cell editor or they show incomplete information in the info line - example: when a hat appears as ´hihat 75%´ in the info line, it´s doesn´t appear in the list nor its openness, but open hats that are created appear as ´hihat´ only in the info line, though they are correctly shown in the cell editor.;
e) it also creates cymbals like splash 1 in the right hand limb, but splash 1 is not listed in a right hand limb cell editor. I didn´t notice before some pieces are only assignable to a certain hand limb. Rides can´t be assigned to left hand limb, that makes sense. In my experience, the only example of cymbal I´ve seen in the wrong limb yet is the splash 1;
f) the events accumulate whenever I click ´recompose´ button, even if I change accent brain settings (with or without ´auto´ active), is this supposed to work like this?
2) The Brush Player seems to be temperamental , when it´s selected fills turn JS completely silent (at least using a subhost).
3) When you load a style, if the shuffle is different from the current one, it doesn´t update its state in the transport bar.
Thanks for your hard work. |

We'll look into this. Are you definitely running 2.0.6? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| One more question: if I edit a part that´s 4 bars long 2 repetitions, then I want to increase the number of repetitions to 6, every fill that is not a repetition or transition fill is lost and recreated, unless I lock the fill bars. But then they don´t appear marked as fills anymore, though the fills are there. If I unlock them later, the fills are not recomposed anymore, that´s good, but I lose the visual reference that the bar is a fill. So if I want to change the number of repetitions of a part, I must save all the fills and accents and reload them later, this is not very intuitive. There should be an option of resizing the part without recomposing it. |
