When using jamstix 2.04 in traction2 the processor of my notebook pentium 4-2.4 1048mb peaks about every 4 seconds to 93..100 %
i can hear it also in the sound(distorted on some hits)
it has been a little improved from version 2.0.0 (it was 100% every 2 seconds)
with jamstix 1 there was no problem
regards

Can you relate the peak to anything Jamstix does, for example does it occur just at the beginning of a bar? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Also, does closing the JS2 GUI fix the peaks? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

i did now install the 2.0.6
at the moment the processor varies:
with GUI from 10% to 93 % (with sometimes alittle sound distortion)
without GUI from 1% to 89 %
not on the the same place in a bar
this is the same as jamstix 1
I use traction with the mackie spike (not so stable)
when not running without jamstix (only traction + song open)
the processor varies from 1 to 36% |

Those spikes are definitely not normal. I don't see that on any test machine here. Did you try a different ASIO driver? _________________ Ralph Zeuner
