Well, generally I'm loving the JS2 concept and features but all doesn't appear to be well and I am experiencing odd, somewhat sporadic problems, mostly relating to parts composition and playback. (I accept that some of these observed problems may well be to do with my ignorance given that I'm of course very new to JS2!).
The following things have occurred:
- The message "UI Index error, list index out of bounds (-59)" has occurred a few times (this seems to be associated with the 2nd to last part disappearing from the list and a problem selecting the last part ??)
- Some parts not playing their specified number of bars
- Some parts being missed entirely during playback
(seems to occur with the last couple of parts in the list only)
- Composed parts/bars suddenly losing all their data (and therefore outputing silence) The corresponding bar buttons also disappear on the timeline and the white horizontal highlight stops moving down through the parts list.
- Changes to fill parameters on one bar/part being seemingly superimposed onto another entirely separate bar/part (again seems to be only happening with latter parts)
- I've had what I think is a Windows Exception error occur twice.
So...just to add to the chaos!!

| Ditto with SX3 here. All kinds of access violation errors, and like 3 or 4 other errors I don't even remember...and it also managed to crash SX3. Had it successfully running for about a minute... |

There seem to be Cubase issues that were not caught in beta testing. I'll have a new DLL later on today and would like for you all to see if that one helps. This will be posted in a separate thread. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Better I think, but still have some of the issues mentioned above and also there seems to be info missing from the bar editor on a number of bars. Sometimes a bar is seemingly completely blank even though there are clearly audible events occurring in those bars... |

2.0.4 - Still not quite there yet
This is a summary of my current findings with this hotfix:
I have a 13 part project and it doesn't like that last part. It composes blanks for all bars except the fills. I select Recompose Whole Part - it turns 6 out of 8 bars into a fills sans groove and leaves two (6 & 7)blank. A copy 'n' paste from a similar earlier part mostly fixes it ...except for the absence of an end crash. I still have many bars that are displaying blank on both the timeline and editor, although they do actually playback ok. |

Could you use 'Save Song' to get a file of this 13-part project to send to me? _________________ Ralph Zeuner
