|
|
Jamstix 1 was working great with MTS. Today I have installed jamstix2 , the stock kit and all my expansion packs. I'm going through the manual and reading the posts that are on here just to keep up to date and to be more knowledgeable about jamstix. I'm not one to complain unless things are really annoying. I know that MTS is not in the compatible list but I was hoping that jamstix 2 would have been as stable as jamstix 1 with multitrackstudio pro plus. Sometimes I get an error loading jamstix2 in MTS and when it does load it will not go through the whole song without causing an error and crash. I have uninstalled jamstix 1 cause I thought maybe i was causing a conflict but the results are the same. I'm not at my studio at this time but i will post these error codes in the morning.
Hope you a good night sleep Ralph cause I'm sure you need it after a day like this.
Hats off to you Ralph for great support you provide here.

Andre,
Even after reading your post, I installed Jamstix 2 and the 2.0.2 hotfix last night, and even though I don't know how to use Jamstix2 (or Jamstix1) worth a hoot, I wasn't getting crashes.
However, after I would load Jamstix and futz with it a bit, I would sometimes have to reload a song in order to get it Jamming again....it's like it kept losing the MIDI source data or something and wouldn't start playing...I don't know if this is a Jamstix issue or an MTS Pro Plus issue. |

Hi Ralph,
it looks like 2.0.4 fix has stop crashing MTS pro plus and seems to be smooth running at least I think so for now. Its time for me to go through the manual and study how to use Jamstix 2. I have 2 cds to finish up and I hope everything goes smooth. I'm impress with the service you provide Ralph, just don't burn yourself out.
Thanks for the fix

Hi you guys,
I have installed the hotfix 2.0.4 and unfortunately am still getting wipeouts. All of a sudden an acces violation error appears and mts just disappears, luckily without a bluescreen. I must say I like the feel of the program, and in between crashes I actually got a reasonable sounding drum groove, which is more than I got out of js1 If only Ralph can stop the crashing. I sent a logfile to support so let's see. I just hope it is nothing that can't be solved, I'm just beginning to enjoy this thing. |

sinbad, you log shows you only have 512MB RAM. Please use the 'Dry Mini Kit' until you get more RAM. Let me know if you get any errors using the Dry Mini Kit. Also note that loading a quickstart song will load the standard kit so always make sure to reload the mini kit. The memory usage in the kit window should not show more than 100MB for you or you may get errors. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Now that's what I call service In the middle of release chaos you find time to diagnose a fault on my pc. Thanks Ralph, I just looked and you're right, I've lost 512 MB somewhere. Anyway that explains the buffer overruns. You're going to need a holiday when this is over. |

2.0.5 seems to have helped here with MTS substantially. I was able to start working on some songs with Jamstix2 and MTS for the first time after installing it last night. I have a lot to learn, but things seem to be looking up now!
Thanks for your hard work Ralph! I hope we can get some more MTS Pro Plus users to join the MTS sticky. |
