I just posted this in the 'silly question' topic, but Ralph, quick as always, posted something else before I finished editing. So I thought it might be a better idea to create a new topic.
The question, in short, is: how can I make my own defaults?
1. how can I make JS1 load a certain kit by default (I use the JS2 kit everytime and wouldn't mind if it was loaded everytime I load JS2)
2. how can I disable the Quickstart screen when JS2 loads? I don't use it and don't think I ever will. I don't like having to click Cancel everytime.
3. how can I make my own default part (amount of bars and reps and style and drummer)
4. how can I set the default mode (Jam with no input)
(BTW I tried to do all this by setting everything up the way I want to and save it as a Track template in Sonar 6 PE, but loading the template makes Sonar lockup completely...) |

All these questions are solved as follows:
Set up a song the way you want it: create a part with the length and reps you want, select your desired kit and the jam mode. Now save the song via the song menu to the 'songs' folder and call it 'J van E Default' or something.
Now everytime you load JS2 you just have to select that song from the quickstart list and you're off. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
