Hi All,
Just been upgraded to Jamstix 2 but everytime I load it up in Sonar I get the synth property page and in the windows tool bar the Wizard. I cannot minimize or move the property page and therefore cannot get to the wizard.
Anyone know a way round this.
Thanks

I don't think I understand. Works fine for me here in S6. The JS2 GUI doesn't show until I make my selection in the S6 property dialog.
Could you send me a screenshot of what the problem looks like? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Okay after several e-mails to Ralph with screenshots etc, I fixed my own problem. As I am using dual monitors I had enabled nview which is a window enhancement for nvidia gfx card's. This was calling Jamstix 2's GUI to the front and ignoring the wizard that starts up.
So to fix the problem I disabled nview and all is well. Time to give Jamstix a run through.
I would like to thank Ralph for his patient's with this and the near realtime e-mail's very impressive support.

Oh dear,
It's back, whenever I open Jamstix 2 the wizard opens behind the main GUI and I cannot get to it, cannot minimize the GUI cannot alt/tab to the wizard.
I have double checked and nview is off, I even uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled just to make sure.

Okay latest update solves the wizard screen problem, however when you select kit then load the resulting "jamstix load mapping" dialogue box appears behind the main GUI and you cannot select it, very much like the wizard was.
Maybe going out on a limb here but it seems that any option in the main GUI that opens a separate window results in it opening behind the GUI and becoming unselectable.

That's wild, Adrian. I have no other reports of this. I'm gonna have to send you a special Build to figure this one out. Can I send e-mail to the address listed in this forum for you? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Right I have done my move round and also reinstalled everything from scratch and it is still doing it. Looks like you will have to send me a special build after all, sorry about that.
You can use the e-mail address that is on this forum to send the file to me.
Thanks for your time.

Well I played around with the graphics card settings today and made it open all windows on my 2nd monitor. This worked for all VSTi's that I have except Jamstix 2, now I am puzzled as I opened Jamstix 2 and put the interface on monitor 1 and then it still insisted on opening the "Jamstix load mapping" dialogue box behind the main interface instead of on the 2nd monitor.
As you have gathered I am using a dual monitor setup.

We'lll release 2.0.10 soon. Once you have it, please add this line to your jamstix2.ini file in the [General] section:
ForceModals=0
and see if the dialogs are still 'hiding'. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Just tried the update this morning and still no joy even with the tweak to the .ini file. I just can't understand why the dialogue boxes refuse to come in front of the GUI.
I have tried a full reinstall of windows, reinstalling Jamstix 2 and messed around with getting windows to open on my 2nd monitor.

Someone on the Cakewalk forum has told me that as I am running the 64bit version of Sonar 6 it uses bitbridge. Not sure if this may help in answering what is causing the problem. Really sorry to be a pain in the proverbial.

That may have something to with it. Could you send me the rzdlog.txt file and the jamstix2.ini file? _________________ Ralph Zeuner
