Hi Ralph, I can´t tell enough how much I´m impressed with JS 2, as a matter of fact so much that I´m a little impatient with one thing
Essentially I can´t manage to assign toms and snares correctly neither to sub-hosted BFD nor to MIDI Out only. Only tom 1 and 5 follow correctly the mappings, as well as snare hit. I remember having similar problem with an earlier version of Jamstix 1 as well and it was easily fixed. Any hint on this?
Thanks. |

Can you give me a bit more detail, such as exact steps and keys you are using? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Here´s what happens: I open JS 2, sub-host BFD and then start defining a map. Any key I select in ´snare left´ is mapped to ´snare right´, ´snare side´ and ´snare rimshot´, and it´s not a problem with the sub host, if I select a piano for test it does the same. Only ´snare bounce´ does not respond to the same key but to the key it´s assigned. Also, when sub hosting BFD I can´t assign more than "tom 1" and "tom 5" as well. Toms ´2´ and ´3´ respond to ´tom 1´ key and ´tom 4´ responds to ´tom 5 key´. It works the same with MIDI Out only. BUT, if I load an internal sound in one of these slots, then MIDI sends the correct mapped note, it seems to be a workaround for MIDI Out only, but it takes up memory space, though very little. I did essentially the same proceduires I did in JS 1 which worked successfully.
Let me know if I´m missing something.

Forgive me for shortcutting this a bit due to the craziness around here at the moment. Could you load the BFD kit that comes with Jamstix 2 and use it as a starting block to define your kit and tell me if you run into issues there? _________________ Ralph Zeuner
