I know this will be my fault - JS 1 is still working okay, but I get no sound from 2.
I have installed into the Jamstix folder, and it appears to load up a variety of sounds, but nothing heard in Project 5 or Sonar.
I did download the stock sounds but haven't attempted to install yet. if I do, where should I put them?
Thanks in advance. |

Well, I imagine that J2 defaults to its stock kit. So without you specifying within J2 that you want to use some of the old J1 paks, it's going to try to use those sounds.
Install the new stock kit or change the kit selection within J2. |

| I loaded drumpak 1 and it's working, though I see a message saying 25 sounds missing (which was there before I loaded DP1 as well). |

Yes, tfishbein is right. Either install the JS2 kit or select a JS1 kit manually. Installation of the JS2 sounds is done by clicking 'Install Pak' in the kit screen. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Please install the JS 2 stock kit by using INSTALL PAK from the kit menu. |

I don't know if I am having the same problem.
But I am not getting sounds either. I have installed the stock kit. If I go onto the Kit tab I can play the drums there.
But I am following the Quickstart tutorial in the manual, I can see it is writing drums to the bar editor but I can't hear anything. |

Figured it out. FL Studio does not send correct end of loop data. We'll create a work-around ASAP. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I had the same problem but loading the paks individually solved it. |

Yes, but this issue is different. This is specific to the loop mode of FL Studio. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I am having the same problem with FL Studio - glad to hear there will be a work around. Same installation sounds great in Live.
EDIT
There is a loop problem in Live too. Even if I export the midi data to Live (to tell Live exactly how long the loop is) while the midi clip loops, the overall timeline keeps moving forward, so jamstix is stuck in "Nothing to play for this bar".
EDIT
I still get the FL Studio no sound behavior in 2.0.1 (default kit or subhosted addictive drums), even though the revisions.html lists this as a fixed bug. |
