JS takes a looooooooong time to load within Live. Even after loading, i have to open and close the gui a couple times before it plays back saved arrangements.
Can anyone else confirm this?
Live 5.03 with JS demo.
EDIT: Oh and now i'm realizing when i try to load rhythms i get a message saying "List index out of bounds".

That's very odd. Please send me the file rzdlog.txt from your Jamstix demo folder to support[at]rayzoon.com and reference this thread. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

5.2.1 is the latest version of Live. You may want to update to that and see if the problem persists.

Thanks for reminding me to update Live RonF.
So the following is using live 5.2
JS will not play unless i have the gui open.
Once the gui is open i can press play on Live's transport and JS will play along. However, if i close the gui, stop the song and resume, i have to open the JS gui again for it to play along.
Would you like me to send you the rzdlog.txt file Zauni? |

Hi all,
For anyone trying to record midi output in Live,or route Jamstix to another vsti/drum module in Live, and get missing notes, or even missing kit pieces altogether...
This problem has bugged me for ages (it is a Live problem, not Jamstix), for some reason I prefer having jamstix on one track, sending midi data to another than having Jamstix sub-hosting another drum module... and I have found a solution by using the Midi-Router (drummer.dll) in the downloads section on this site. It says its for Traktion and Samp, and its based on a DFHS mapping (easily remapped to any other module), but it so far seems to work with live as well.
a fantastic piece of work by Sekim... take a bow son.
Happy days. |

Thanks for the tip! You can also rename the MidiRouter.dll to something else so Jamstix will stop sending DFHS specific notes. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

This problem has also been bugging me so thanks for the tip.
How would you use drummer.dll within Jamstix as you would another drum module?
Looking forward to Jam 2 and Jambass whenever
keep up the good work |

Philr, I just tried to replicate this but it works fine for me. Here's what I do:
- load Ableton Live 4.1 and a demo project
- insert a MIDI track
- drag Jamstix onto the MIDI track and it loads its internal samples
- click on Jamstix wrench icon to open Jamstix
- go to Mapping tab, click External Vsti
- select DR-008.dll and it opens
- click LOAD SETTINGS in DR-008 and load a kit
- close DR008 and go to jam tab in Jamstix and click Free Jam
- start Ableton and after a few beats Jamstix/DR-008 kicks in
Please duplicate this steps and tell me if it works
Thanks |

Can anyone confirm if the recording of Jamstix Midi data is still broken in Live 6? (It looks to me like it is . Are there any workarounds or clues as to whats wrong with Live? |

Just to follow up on this, the latest Beta of Live 6 indicates it fixes 'problems with recording of Midi from some VSTi's' I'll try it at the weekend, but it looks like the problems could be over |
