I'm just curious...I found out about Jamstix 2 release date on Harmony Central.... as a Jamstix 1 owner who has been looking forward to version 2 for past 5 months, I'm a bit surprised that registered owners didn't get an email. I'm not complaining... I LOVE Jamstix, and Ralph, your support as I was getting set up with version 1 was terrific... so it's more a question of if:
1. I somehow got left off the mailing, or
2. There is no mailing list of Jamstix owners (which seems like a strange marketing strategy). Again, not a complaint, am seriously curious.
With that said, I'm VERY excited/happy about August 20!!!!

You're lucky, the first I heard about Jamstix 2 was in a private message from a member (he shall remain nameless) of a well known audio forum asking me, as J2 was released 20/7/07 would I please 'hook him up with it as he was short of funds' 
He went on to say he'd also be happy with v1.81
I was going to reply pointing out he'd got the release date wrong, it's 20/8/07, which is plenty of time to save the money for the upgrade, but if he's also asking for v1.81, he hasn't even got a legit version in the first place.
Needless to say he's still waiting for a reply from me.
I hate begging letters.

We haven't sent any e-mails, yet. We are trying to keep them to an absolute minimum so we are going to send just one mail on 8/20/07 when JS2 is released.

Thanks Ralph... that makes sense that you didn't want to innundate users... it's just exciting news:).
Ian, you're right, that would REALLY not be the way to hear about it!
