Ralph,

It says for Jamstix 1owners, upgrading to JS2 will cost $40?????? I thought that JS2 would be FREE to all Jamstix 1 owners? Thats one of the main reasons I bought JS1. Whats the deal?

Bummer, that's a whole month going to waste... Wink I just saw my copy of Sonar 6 PE has been shipped: it will be here in a few days. Now what am I going to do with it until 08/20/2007...? Rolling Eyes Cool

About the price: man, that price is way too low. Not that I mind, but really... you could ask a lot more! Your quick and open support on this forum is already worth the money! Really! I have to say though this clearly shows you made this program for all musicians out there and not just for your own wallet. Exclamation I really hope everyone out there will get the message and JS2 will be sold well!

I just can't believe I will be able to get all this for just 40 bucks... This is going to be the best buy of the year for me! Wink

Jamstix 2 was originally thought to be more of an evolution and, thus, upgrade pricing was set at 40 to 50% list. We later realized that it was going to be a rewrite but did not want to go back on our word.

As far as the list pricing is concerned, we will keep it as low as possible for as long as possible but it will very likely increase in the future.

Ralph,
even though I don't post often, I've been a JS1 early and utterly satisfied user, and have always had a look to your forum once in a while.
(Not to mention that I was, like a lot of people probably, expecting JS21 eagerly)
I'd like to say that, as always, you are exactly the exact opposite of a disapointing person, and I share the feeling of some other people here, about your upgrade price being almost unfairly low, when everybody around knows the dedication and hard work that you have put for months into the making of JS2 !
If you don't change your mind about this more-than-friendly price, is there at least a chance for us to prove our loyalty, with an early pre-order ?
Personnaly, I don't care if JS2 is one, or even two, or three months ahead, but I, for one, would really like to demonstrate my appreciation of your great efforts and noble attitude with a -once again, very modest !- financial gesture....

That's great news Ralph, the upgrade pricing is very refreshing, it's almost impossible to refuse. Good luck with the new version.

Will there be an upgrade path from version 1 (purchased before 8/23/06) to version 2 XL?

Not planned at this time. You can buy the upgrade and the 'All Paks Bundle' to get the XL level.

It's $40 if you upgrade between 8/20/07 and 9/3/07, after that it is $49.

Wow, the upgrade price is extremely good. Thank you, you're the best, Ralph!

I've bought Jamstix 1, right when it was released and have been using it for driving dfhs in all my tunes happily since then.

At this price the upgrade is a no-brainer, but tbh I would have easily paid twice as much to get the new features. I am sure Jamstix 2 too will be another huge success for Rayzoon.

cheers,

Niko
