It's working fine for me, after reading the numerous other threads on it here. Jamstix is insanely great, I don't really care how many hoops I have to jump through to get it working, the results are more than worth it. The manual, though, is pretty feeble.
There is one issue with MIDI export for me: when I click on export, I first see a translucent green dialog box, with nothing in it but the words "yes" and "no". I click on yes, I then get the standard Windows save dialog, save the file, and everything's fine.
What is supposed to be in that green dialog box? |

I thought the manual was pretty good, better than most (apart from the odd old screenshot). The problem is there is so MUCH to discover in the program.
Nice problem to have, I suppose. |

Ralph, thanks. Sorry if I sounded a little testy about the manual, it is actually pretty good.
The text in that box might be a good addition to the next version of the manual -- also a mention that "enable MIDI output" must be checked for export to work. It'd also be nice to have a chart of the default MIDI note mappings.
yeah, there is much to discover here -- well, back to experimenting! |
