|
|
I'm new to jamstix. I got into the group buy and I am very impressed with the possibilities of this program. I really like the sounds.
I would like to setup jamstix with a basic pattern and record my song to that
beat and do the real drum track later.
The problem I have is that I can't figure out how to keep jamstix from adding accents/fills.
I read and followed the "beginners tips" and manual entries concerning this
but I always get random accents/fills. If I "mute brain" I get no sound.
I'm using reaper as my host.
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks, NWD |

Hi and welcome to Jamstix!
For a very basic pattern select keyword jam and select basic.
This gives you a selection of very basic and straight patterns.
Also for no fills and less accents you should put the fill frequency and accentuation sliders all way left. |

Thanks Doc, That'l do the trick.
Also, I can't figure out how to get the metronome to play.
I'm sure it's something obvious I've overlooked

You can toggle the metronome on and off under MAPPING Tab >> METRONOME.
Have fun with Jamstix! |

Hey Doc,
Yes, I tried that, but I get no sound.
But it's not a biggie, workaround is easy.
Thanks!! |

Yes it is.
Hmm... If I use a track template that routs the J/S outputs to seperate tracks
it plays fine, but as a vsti on a single track everything I've tried so far works except the metronome.
Like i said, not a biggie. I'm starting to get the hang of things otherwise
The interface is actually quite good once you get the basics down.
Gracias Doc,
