Hi Ralph!

Have over the last week had Reaper crashing whenever i close/unfloat the Jamstix GUI, initially i was getting the same problem when removing Jamstix from the FX chain but since i deleted my templates and am using a new template its just happening as above. Workaround at the moment is to not float the GUI, but i hate working this way! Have also posted about this in the Cockos forum.

Thanks
Jeff

I can confirm that 'unfloating' Jamstix in REAPER causes a crash. I can't make it crash any other way. We'll see what we (or Justin) can do about this.

I just posted about this on the Reaper forum.

If you close the FX chain window first it doesn't crash when closing the JS GUI

I also am having trouble with Jamsticks locking up in Reaper... system just hangs with the hourglass. Closing the gui then causes Reaper to crash to desktop.

What exactly are the steps to replicate this crash?

Since I was part of the group buy; there isnt a lot of experience with Jamsticks and it may be something I am doing wrong.

However, Reaper is very stable for me and I've not had this trouble with any of the other Vst or Vsti's I use.

It seems connected to either closing the gui ( unfloat ) .

Or recording a track, either audio or midi and then switching between one of the various interfaces of Jamsticks. ie..... Free jam to Keyboard....ect..

What I have done so far is just kick the tires of Jamsticks.. I read the manual and am just trying the various inputs and options available.

SO far no hard crashes. Just complete lockups. System just hangs forever.
Only option thats worked so far is a complete re- boot.

LOL when it works though I love the program and at the group buy price with the JS2 included in the future....No complaints here. Just want to help if possible.

EDIT : It does appear from the Reaper forums that I am not alone with these problems. There is a thread there that has slipped down the page a bit.

The unfloat GUI issue is known and we don't have a fix for it yet. Concering the keyword jam lock up, please try the latest JS beta which should fix this. If you don't have a beta download link, drop me an e-mail and I'll set you up.
