Hello, on word of the recent group buy, I was interested in purchasing JS.
I dl'ed the demo, and loaded it onto my laptop: dell 600m, win XP home.
I'm using a Tascam US122 (the older one) and having no issues, other than the JS demo.
I first tried it in Reaper, 1.7x something. When I pressed the play button in reaper, I got the BSOD.
I then tried JS in n-track 3.3. Same BSOD when pressing play.
I then DL the a newer version of Reaper, 1.85x, tried again, but still BSOD.
I then tried in FL studio 6, I can't remember exactly the results, but I know it wasn't good. I might have BSOD, maybe not. But it wasn't working.
As you can guess, I didn't purchase the package, as I don't know what's going on.
I have a win XP SP2 box that is my main studio PC, but I'm not putting anything on there until I'm happy it's smooth.
Oh yeah, I performed the DEP or CEP change, as listed on the support page, putting Reaper.exe in the list, as told, but it didn't make any difference.
Any ideas? what to look for next? XP Home not supported? I can get more detailed, but I don't know what exact direction to go next.
Thanks for any help, as I'm itchin to give this a whirl. |

Hi and welcome to the boards!
BSOD problems with REAPER sound very odd as JS is working smoothly for me and lots of other REAPER users out there.
I recommend you try to download the JS demo again, as due to enormous stress on the download servers because of the group buy purchases there might be a corrupt file here.
Please report back in case your problem isn“t sorted. |

I was kinda thinking it was odd too, as most people seem to be doing well.
I'll dl again, and see what happens. |
