What if you wanted to do a kind of quick step change on a 1/4 of the bar?
Cheers

Here's a Jamstix version that implements changing time sig support.
Any feedback is very welcome.
Remember that when you don't start your sequencer at the beginning, Jamstix needs to have "seen" all bars in front of your start position once so it knows the time sigs and can properly calculate the current position. We recommend to set up your sig changes and then let the song play all the way through from bar 1 to the end so Jamstix can record the data. Once saved, it will be recalled in future sessions as well.
This Build also features various new 'invalid pointer operation' fixes.

!! IMPORTANT !!
This Build implements a new data storage system for Jamstix to support the time sig tracking as well as other future enhancements. It also compresses data chunks to yield much smaller project sizes. While the Build can read the old data format from previous Jamstix versions, be aware that any project you save with X2-9 cannot be read by Jamstix version older than that!
Since this is an inofficial beta Build, we recommend you use it with test projects only and keep copies of your originals saved with previous Jamstix versions

Ralph, Thanks for the update-patch. Time-Signature changes work now correctly (at least for me). Great support ! _________________ PC i7 870 2.93GHz, 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5500, RME Multiface I, Win7 Home 64bit, StudioOne2Pro, Wavelab7 |

Please forgive me if I am being a bit thick here, but if you needed to change time-sig mid bar, wouldn't that imply you don't actually have the correct time sig for the current bar? |

I wonder also. If you want a 1/4 time signature in the middle of a 4/4 bar, the original 4/4 bar will be changed to 2/4 ?! |

It must only be because I use jamstix as a playback/record (no audio8"jam") that I now get almost unlimited ability with time sig changes.
For example, I'll set up sonar to have a time change to 5/4 and then to 9/4 and then to 7/4 etc........just for kicks. It works really really well, so I am not understanding why others are having problems....unless it is when you "jam" like I said before.
Is that it? The only time signature I cannot get to work on any program is 12/8.......I just doesn't work....maybe it's me.??? |
