Ralph, can you please read this is from SAVIhost homepage,...
".. some people have expressed the desire to run their VSTis as standalone programs in as simple a way as possible. Using SAVIHost, it is a matter of seconds to create an executable for the plugin, which can then simply be invoked by the familiar double-click."
Do you confirm this is like so?..can Jamstix be loaded as a stand alone drum machine',..?
Thanks!

| Saurez wrote: | Doc,..i believe so,..but i dont have WinZip Pro,only have the lighter version Winzip10,and it doesnt permit "Job tasks"like edit and renames..so i can´t change the exec. file name,...is there a way to overcome this,..can you PM the exe.file for jamstix to open with SaviHost?..i mean if its legal
Thank you! |
Hmm, you don´t seem to understand how SAVI host works.
1. Download SAVI host (zip folder) from this site: http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm
2. Unzip the downloaded folder.
3. Copy the savihost.exe to your jamstix folder and rename it "jamstix.exe" (just like the file name "jamstix.dll").
4. Double click on jamstix.exe and jamstix will open in SAVIHOST
It´s easy. Have fun! |

I open the zipped folder of savihost, extract it to the folder where i have the jamstix installed and where is also its dll,..then i can see a pink shortcut that says "savihost..etç".
I rename that to all this names
-jamstix.exe.
-jamstix demo.exe.
-jamstixdemo.exe.
none of them work,i click on pink losangle icon to open and there a small window saying i must change the name to the ..blabla..just what i did!!!
Any idea? |
Renaming to "jamstix.exe should do the trick. Can you please elaborate on what message pops up? |

The savihost.exe icon within the jamstix folder must be renamed to jamstix.exe
This is all you have to do. |

Doc ,this is the message that pops up
"Error loadin .........
Please make sure that you renamed SAVIhost.exe to the name of the PlugIn DLL you´re trying to use as a standalone program/VSTi!
If,for example,you want to convert Attack.dll,you have to rename SAVIhost.exe to Attack.exe."

| Sorry, I don´t know what the problem could be then. Everything seems to be configured correctly. Are you really sure you are in the same folder? |
